Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the website www.yopr.net and its subdomains (collectively, the "Service") operated by yopuru ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. The handling of personal information is governed by our separate Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

The Service includes: real-time chat with auto-translation, blog viewing and commenting, video calls, bug reporting, AI-assisted novel generation, a collection of utility tools, and account registration. Service changes and suspension are governed by Section 9; changes to these Terms are governed by Section 11.

2. Accounts

• You may use the Service as a guest (anonymous), with email and password, or via Google or GitHub sign-in.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials accurate and confidential.
• Passwords are stored only as cryptographic hashes; we never retain plaintext.
• We are not liable for losses caused by your inadequate management of credentials, except where caused by reasons attributable to us.

3. Minors

Users under 18 must obtain consent from a parent or other legal guardian to enter into the agreement to use the Service before starting to use it. Consent to the handling of personal information is addressed separately in Section 12 of the Privacy Policy.

4. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time via the contact channels below. After verification of identity, we will delete your account and associated personal information within a reasonable period. We may retain data required by law, necessary for dispute resolution, or aggregated statistical information with no link to any individual.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

• Violate any law or public order
• Engage in or assist criminal activity
• Infringe on the rights or interests of us, other users, or third parties
• Impersonate others or post false information
• Place undue load, attempt unauthorized access, or use automated bulk requests
• Use the Service for unauthorized commercial purposes
• Send spam, harassment, or post discriminatory, violent, or sexually explicit content
• Create or distribute malware that harms the Service or third-party systems, gain unauthorized access, conduct analysis for the purpose of compromising the security of the Service, or engage in similar conduct
• Provide benefits to or have any relationship with antisocial forces

6. Exclusion of Antisocial Forces

You represent and warrant that you are not, and will not become, a member of organized crime groups (boryokudan), associated entities, racketeers, social-movement-pretexting extortionists, special-intelligence violence groups, or anyone equivalent. If we discover a breach, we may suspend or delete your account without prior notice.

7. Intellectual Property

• All copyrights, trademarks, design rights and other intellectual property rights in the Service's software, UI, logos, designs, text, images and other content belong to us or the rightful owners.
• You retain copyright in any content you submit (chat messages, comments, generation prompts, etc.). You grant us and parties we designate a free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, translate, modify, and distribute such content as necessary to operate and improve the Service.
• To the extent reasonably necessary for operating and improving the Service, you agree not to assert your moral rights against us or our designees.
• We may remove any content we determine to violate these Terms or otherwise to be inappropriate, without prior notice.

8. AI-Generated Content

The novel generator sends your theme, characters, generation instructions, and, for continuations, the entire story generated so far through the Service’s server to OpenRouter, which forwards them to the provider running inference for the selected model. Free models are currently selected automatically; the model and inference provider are not fixed. See Sections 4 and 5 of the Privacy Policy for information about this processing. We make no warranty as to the accuracy, legality, or originality of generated output, or as to its similarity to third-party works. You use such output at your own risk.

9. Service Changes and Termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service for maintenance, failures, or other unavoidable reasons, with or without notice. We are not liable for any loss arising from such changes, except where caused by reasons attributable to us.

10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of fitness for any particular purpose, accuracy, availability, completeness, security, or that you will achieve any particular result.
• Translation accuracy is not guaranteed.
• As a general rule, we do not mediate disputes between users or between users and third parties. However, if a user suffers loss for reasons attributable to us, we are responsible in accordance with this Section and applicable law.
• Our liability for damages arising from minor negligence shall be limited to direct and ordinary damages actually incurred, capped at the total fees you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim (or JPY 1,000 for free use).
• The preceding limitation does not apply in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, or where prohibited by the Consumer Contract Act or other mandatory law.

11. Changes to Terms

We may amend these Terms under Article 548-4 of the Japanese Civil Code where the amendment benefits users generally, or where it is consistent with the purpose of the agreement and reasonable in light of the need for the amendment, the appropriateness of its content, this amendment clause and its content, and other relevant circumstances. We will specify an effective date and announce the amendment, the revised Terms, and the effective date on this page or by another appropriate method before that date. Amendments that do not meet these requirements require individual user consent.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Ichinomiya Summary Court or the Ichinomiya Branch of the Nagoya District Court, depending on the value of the claim, as the court of first instance.
